How to approach a model agency in Portugal
Agencies want to see the real you. Send three to five natural photos in daylight — face, profile and full length — plus your age, height, measurements and city. Your ModelContest comp card does exactly this on one page.
How to spot a fake agency
Walk away if someone asks for a registration or “portfolio” fee before any work, promises guaranteed jobs, wants to meet you somewhere private, or pressures you to sign on the spot. Real agencies in Lisbon and elsewhere in Portugal make money only when you are booked.
Questions
What are the best model agencies in Portugal?
The agencies listed here are checked by our team. A good agency has a real office or studio, a portfolio of models who actually work, and never charges you to sign.
How do I get signed by a model agency in Portugal?
Send the agency your best simple photos (or your ModelContest comp card), your height and measurements, and your city. Many agencies in Lisbon hold open calls — check our castings page.
Do model agencies in Portugal charge fees?
Genuine agencies earn a commission when you are booked; they do not charge sign-up fees. Be careful with anyone who asks for money for a portfolio or registration.
Can a model contest help me find an agency?
Yes. Scouts and agencies use ModelContest to discover new faces, and a high ranking in Portugal shows you already have an audience.
